Oil Guard Epoxy Primer Kit (Special Order)

The Concrete Protector's Oil Guard Primer is a two-component, solvent-based epoxy-amine undercoat specifically formulated for use over petroleum oil contaminated concrete. On many concrete floors, petroleum penetrates deeply and cannot be fully removed through surface cleaning alone. Left untreated, trapped oil migrates back to the surface causing coating delamination. Oil Guard Primer penetrates the concrete, bonding with and locking in the contamination to create a stable, clean substrate ready for epoxy flooring and coating systems. Can be topcoated same day. Available in 2 Gal and 10 Gal kits.

Cure Schedule (at 70°F):

• Pot Life: 2-3 hours
• Tack Free: 2-5 hours

Chemical Resistance:

• Long term immersion: 10% Sodium Hydroxide
• 72 hour immersion: 50% Sodium Hydroxide, 10% Sulfuric Acid, 10% Hydrochloric Acid
• 8 hour splash/spill: Ethylene Glycol
• 2 hour splash/spill: Gasoline, Toluene, Xylene
• Not recommended: MEK, 1,1,1-Trichloroethane, 5% Acetic Acid

Limitations:

• For petroleum oil contaminated substrates only
• Substrate temperature must be 5°F above dew point
• All new concrete must be cured at least 30 days before application
• Color stability and gloss may be affected by high humidity or chemical exposure

How to Use:

1. Pre-mix Part A and Part B separately
2. Combine 1 part Part A and 1 part Part B and mix thoroughly
3. Spread using a notched squeegee and backroll with a 3/8 in. nap roller
