Product Description

The Concrete Protector's Transformer 3000# 3"x3mm Dry Polish Pad is a high-grit, velcro-backed polishing tool used in the final stages of concrete floor polishing. Delivers a mirror-like finish and high reflectivity. Designed for dry polishing, which simplifies cleanup and eliminates slurry management. Velcro backing allows for quick tool changes. Coverage 7,000-10,000 sq. ft. per set. Sold individually.

Specifications:

  • Grit: 3000#
  • Diameter: 3"
  • Thickness: 3mm
  • Backing: Velcro
  • Application: Dry Polish
  • Color: Red
  • Coverage: 7,000-10,000 sq. ft. per set
  • Packaging: 1 piece

Key Benefits:

  • Delivers a mirror-like finish and high reflectivity
  • Designed for dry polishing - simplifies cleanup and eliminates slurry management
  • Velcro backing allows for quick tool changes

Limitations:

  • 3000# grit is designed for finishing, not for grinding or leveling
  • Must be used after progressive lower grit polishing
  • Not suitable for wet polishing systems

How to Use:

  1. Ensure the surface has already been mechanically refined using lower-grit pads (typically 50#, 100#, 200#, 400#, 800#, and 1500#) to remove imperfections and open up the surface
  2. Mount the 3" Velcro-backed pad onto a planetary floor polisher, edge polisher, or hand tool with Velcro attachment
  3. Use a low-to-medium speed grinder/polisher with even downward pressure
  4. Run the machine over the surface in overlapping passes (typically 50% overlap), keeping the machine moving at a consistent pace to avoid overheating or pad glazing
  5. Polish in multiple directions (north-south, then east-west) for even clarity and gloss
